Malang – Selasa (12/3) Jurusan Sosiologi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP) Universitas Brawaijaya (UB) telah melaksanakan Workshop Pengembangan Kapasitas Mahasiswa yang diselenggarakan di Ruang Sidang Lt.7 Gedung B FISIP UB.

Acara ini menghadirkan Syafuan Rozi (Peneliti Utama Ahli P2P LIPI) sebagai pemateri. Sesuai tema, Rozi menyampaikan terkait proses kreatif dan cara berpikir kritis. “Kita harus mensugestikan diri sendiri agar senantiasia bisa berpikir kritis. Sugesti diri dengan hal-hal yang bersifat positif. Jangan berikan pikiran negatif”, ucap Rozi saat acara berlangsung.

Berdasarkan pemaparan Rozi, terdapat hal penting dalam berpikir kritis. Mahasiswa harus bisa mengaitkan semua grand narasi dengan narasi lainnya. Orang yang berpikir kritis harus memikirkan suatu hal atau suatu benda dalam jangka pendek, jangka menengah dan jangka panjangnya. Bagaimana setiap hal atau benda memiliki potensi yang tidak boleh diabaikan.

Rozi menambahkan bahwa berpikir kritis bukan hanya persoalan menghafal. “Berpikir kritis bukan menghafal dan bukan sekedar mengumpulkan informasi. Berpikir kritis tidak sama dengan mengakumulasi informasi,” jelasnya.

Dalam acara ini, Rozi mengingatkan mahasiswa Sosiologi FISIP UB untuk dapat berpikir kritis, hal ini penting karena merupakan keterampilan universal yang dapat meningkatkan kreativitas, keterampilan verbal dan analitik, serta penting untuk refleksi diri. (08/Fariza/Humas FISIP)
